About

I was bought my first camera for my 13th birthday. The months that followed were filled with people whinging about me constantly taking pictures. To be fair, I was pointing at everyone and everything at the time. But I loved the results! Of course, back then the results were pretty poor, as I hadn’t a clue what I was doing, and it wasn’t like today’s digital age. I couldn’t ‘chimp’ my images and delete the rubbish. Nooo, back then it cost most of my pocket money to get the 35mm films developed!

Over the years I have had many cameras, and when the digital age hit I was one of millions that went out and bought the latest, ultimate gadget. This is where I made improvement. As time grew and my ability grew, so did my love for photography, though it still remained a little suppressed.

Then I met a lady online called Helen. She and her father were avid photographers. After several conversations with her, and after seeing some of her work, I decided it was time to get a better digital camera. She helped me chose one that would suit me, that I could grow into. This was a Kodak Z740, and what a fantastic little camera it was! I used it for just over a year, and in that time I learnt so much. By the time I had fully grown into the camera I was lusting for more. This was around the time that I made the transition from loving photography to being passionate about it. I wouldn’t leave the house without it from this point.

It wasn’t long after this that I went out and purchased my first DSLR. A Canon 350D. This camera lasted me almost a year. My passion did not dwindle in that time, and so this March I upgraded to a Canon 40D. A decision which I will never regret. I love my camera!

I hope you love my photography the same way I do!
